Re: "Aortobifemoral Bypass Surgery" on 9/18/19 VERY Scared

rodney, I hope your surgery went well. I think getting off of subs worked well for you before you went into surgery. However... you are going to be put right back on Opiates after your surgery so be mindful of that when you get off those. Don't feel bad if you think you need to get back on a low dos...

Re: Whats your effective "antidepressant" dose?

I am so glad this thread came back up. I was able to read what I was taking in 2017 Current Update on my Medications: Viibryd 40 mg (SSRI) once a day and .81 mg of Zubsolv once a day. I no longer need as much Zubsolv as I needed 2 years ago. That really is the great thing about Bup is over time you ...

Re: How long does it tak to feel normal again after subs?!

Hi J rod, I was successfully off of Suboxone for a year. I did however, taper down to 1-2mg a day for a bit before I made the jump and I felt withdraw for 8-10 days. Physical withdraw. Mentally I did have cravings. but i truly believe tapering is the Key to sucessfully getting of Bup or subs You wer...

Re: Swallowed the tab whole!

Sure you could swallow the pill. But To be honest that would be such a waste of meds!!. You are not getting much absorbed. Why not crack the pill in half or a 1/4 of the pill and do it that way and put under the tongue . You are probably getting the same absorption as if you swallowed the whole pill...

Re: Approaching the Final Hour.

I also wanted to add that after I was completely off of Suboxone for one year, I did choose to get back on it. Not because of the withdraws or PAWS, ( which i never had) but I only did because I wanted to ensure that I did not have any cravings. And I felt like my depression was so much better while...

Re: Approaching the Final Hour.

YOU GOT THIS!!! I was on 2mg and then i went to like 1mg for a few days but never really leveled off, then just did it. I was in withdraw for like 10-14 days. It was never anything that bad. I still went to work just felt like I had a cold or a mild case of the flu. Seriously doable. Good luck to you.

Re: 85 days..

Just wanted to chime in here. I jumped at around 1-2mg . several years ago. Probably around the same dose as this person. I only had withdraws for 10-14 days tops. Seriously. I stayed off of Subs for a year. I only got back on Subs because I was getting cravings and I didn't want to risk relapsing s...

Re: Switching from the strip to the pill

Hi Bama , I had to switch for insurance reasons from the sub strips 8mg to zubsolv 5.7. No change at all. So no need to worry. it is the same. At first I was worried because the mg was lower, but it never had any effect . Hope this helps. Plus... I like the zubsolv better because of taste alone.

Hi there, Thanks for the added information. I too, really support Buprenorphine as a true Cure to the Opiod Epidemic. But as people, we are all different. Not everyone gets the same benefits from this. If you are having to take all these other things ( Marijuana, prescription meds, anti-nausea meds,...

Re: Long term sub user, feeling frustrated

Hi Taylor, So sorry you are having such a hard time. i can totally relate. I had to go every month and pay cash for subs for years. And yes it does get old. How many MG of subs are you taking? What helped me every month was taking just a little bit less than prescribed every month. Every month I had...

Re: ugh I'm Back!

Hi colorado, I agree 110% with Amy and Jen. Spare yourself the misery and go up a miligram or two and take it slower this time. Eventually you will level out at the 4mg. It just take time. Just so you know, I am on .95mg of Bup and i started out at 12mg. I do not feel any withdraws even at this low ...

Re: Can take suboxone but only for 2 years??

I think back when I first started taking Subs in 2009, I think the Doctor mentioned being off in 2 years. I just think things have changed since then. Doctors are now WAY MORE open to doing long term maintenance on Subs. Every doctors office is different, and maybe Your doctor does NOT support long ...

Hello! Thanks for the info. I remember when you first started posting about this Film cutting guide. You have probably helped thousands of people taper off bup and made it WAYYY easier. It truly takes the math of cutting the milligrams out of the equation because your cutting guide did that for you....

Hi Acoustic, All I can say is... THIS HAPPENS ! At least you have the Sense and mindfulness to get back on bup. NO more poppy tea!! I use to drink this stuff too and it takes Forever to leave your system and the withdraws are terrible. I am so happy to hear you are back on subs and almost 100% stabi...

Re: How much are you paying per month for treatment?

HI Lilly, My sub doctor does not take insurance so I pay out of pocket $180 every month. And ..all patients have to go every month. It is actually $150 + $30 drug screen every time every month. My insurance will pay for the Zubsolv and I can use a coupon on top of that and it equals $10 a month. It ...

Re: Insurance now pays for doctors visit and prescription?

Luther, From what I am reading on this. Suboxone is being used more as a street drug and not as a recovery medication. So... you are probably thinking that this is just Free access to drugs. I can understand how you feel. IF it was being misused or shot or abused, getting off of subs might be the be...

Hi Rooster./ I saved this 90 day taper schedule to my phone just in case i decide to ever taper. Obviously you are past the 2mg mark so I would just start at the .5mg drop and go from there. see below: three month taper schedule has been shown to be effective for patients in buprenorphine detox: Day...

Re: Bupe Subs withdrawal is EASY compared to the real thing

Thanks terrapin, I have to agree with you. I got off of suboxone a few years ago like 7 years ago. And I was in withdraw for about 10 days. But not bad at all. I stayed off of Suboxone for one full year. I only got back on it because i felt like i needed something for cravings. So i did get back on ...
