Re: Celebration Time!!!

What great news!!!! It absolutely is "celebration time"!!!!! :D :D :D I have to say that I'm not surprised at all that you were accepted into the program, but I know that you are quite relieved and excited to know for sure! They would have been missing out on a very special person if they had passed...

Re: Lots of crazy effects?

Hey Maya, I just wanted to chime in about the recommendation of spitting the saliva given above. In some cases, patients can be sensitive to the naloxone in suboxone which is only absorbed when swallowing it. Since you are on plain bupe and are still experiencing the nausea then spitting out the lef...

Re: I still look SKINNY and UNHEALTHY on Subs

Oh, I just remembered...About a month ago I was talking to my pharmacist about the side effects I had from the Megace and he asked me if I had tried any other appetite stimulants besides this one. He named off two others that were commonly used that he said worked in a similar fashion to megace. I w...

Re: I still look SKINNY and UNHEALTHY on Subs

Hey Sunrises, I had the same issue with insurance when I tried to fill my first script for Megace. The doctor had written me a prescription for the 80mg, which there is no generic for. We got around the issue by having him change my prescription to the 40mg suspension and just doubling the dose from...

Re: Just a quick update about headaches

Thanks for posting this Happy...I have seen the recommendation before about using Listerine to potentiate a dose, but don't recall seeing specific instructions before now. It's always nice to have the option of taking less and receiving the same effect.

Hope you are doing well!

Re: The First Day of the Rest of My Life

Hi Michael, I just wanted to welcome you to the forum and congratulate you on starting your recovery! It sounds like you have found a good doctor, having someone you trust who understands suboxone treatment is a huge plus. I totally get why you would be fearful of the medical records following you a...

Re: need education on side effects

Hey Jada, First of all I want to tell you how sorry I am that you and your family have been affected by this awful disease. The entire process can be so frustrating to those family members who aren't the one who is the addict, and it is really hard to work through the process from start to finish. E...

Re: Ugggg I relapsed. Share your stories too?

Hey Sherah, I know this post is several days old now, but I've been away from the forum for a few weeks. I just wanted to add my support to your posts. Stories like this are probably more common than we realize because I would bet that the majority of those who have these small slips don't ever admi...

Re: Have Sub script - Can't make the jump - Help?

Go ahead and score yourself on the COWS before you dose just to be safe, but it sounds like you have waited long enough to me. I'm guessing you meant you were going to take .25% of the pill you have and not just .25mg's of bupe. You should start to feel better within about 30 minutes, but it may tak...

Hey Jonny,

I was just wondering how your induction went. I am hoping to hear nothing but good news from you when you come back to report! Everything sounded good from your first visit, I'm really happy you found a doctor who would listen to you.

There are so many threads here just like yours, and I always wish that I could just show each person in your shoes how much better you will feel if you just tough it out for a few more hours!...

Re: Need to increase dose. Dr says no. HELP

Hey GMH, I have no idea why they wouldn't understand why you need to up your dose. The fact is, you only decreased your dose to start with because of the pregnancy, so it's definitely not a simple dose increase just because you want to. Have you told them about the circumstances surrounding your las...

Re: Tip to reduce saliva

The key with this tip is to make sure you are using a mouthwash with alcohol included. I've noticed some of the newer ones like certain types of scope don't have it, and they don't dry the mouth nearly as well. Check the labels!

Thanks for the tip Crystal.

Yes! I tuned in to the behind the scenes episode last night "Intervention, I was there". It was cool seeing those extra details from the old episodes I remember so well. Good stuff.

Hey Jane, The member who posted about that clinic hasn't logged in since August, so he may not see your post. Eeek! I would definitely get a pregnancy test, like yesterday. A girl I knew a few years ago actually got pregnant with TRIPLETS a few years after having her tubes tied. I still freak out if I'm a few days late, and it's been 8 years since my tubal.

Re: Pre-Employment Screening Construction Work

Hey Snake,

I think the main point you are missing in this thread is that the OP does NOT have a valid prescription for Suboxone. If it were to pop up on a drug screen, which isn't entirely impossible in the situation he is describing, he would definitely lose his job.
