Re: Feeling high at low dose

Hi Crystal, Sorry, I can't help you with that one as I've never tapered but say your feeling high? Wow, I bet that can get distracting. So your tapering off or just down to a low dose? Anyway I just wanted to say hi. I'm new here and kind of new to Suboxone. Around 6 months. I hope all is going wel...

Feeling high at low dose

Hello, I have been on Suboxone for about 3 years now, and am currently on 4mgs/day and have been for the past six months or so. Sometimes I will take less than 4mgs, depending on how my 8mg tablet splits- I have to cut the tablet in half (they're a huge pain when trying to get an exact dose!). That ...

Re: I have to miss a dose.

Hi All. I didn't give the hospital enough notice (although its still working hours, not whinging just saying...) that I need to be dosed early Monday for work. I am call in as well as rostered. So I'll be missing my dose for the first time. I'm on 16mg. Will I be ok? What can I expect? So far in my...

Weird feeling when Sub wears off...

Hi, I have been on Sub for over a year with no problems really. I am on 4mgs and have not recently changed doses. I usually take my dose in the evening, around 5-6 pm, and then go to bed around 11-12, depending on the night. Whenever I take my dose early (which isn't that often), around 1-2pm, and I...

Re: Freaked out. PLEASE help

Hi all, I just got off the phone with the company nurse and sure enough, "I noticed you are taking buprenorphine and I wanted to talk a little bit about that. What's the reason you are taking this medication? Is it for pain? Something else? Sometimes people use this medication for addiction." I stoo...

Re: Freaked out. PLEASE help

Thanks Rule. I would have left it blank, but considering I was going to be drug tested anyway I wanted to be safe and let them know I take it. And I shouldn't HAVE to lie anyway!! The stigma behind all of this is revolting. I think it would be worse if they found it via drug test and I had been dish...

Freaked out. PLEASE help

Hi, I just received a job offer for a large aerospace company and they require drug testing and background checks for every employee that gets hired, which I'm fine with. My job is strictly company office work with no manual labor whatsoever - I won't even be anywhere near the production floor. I wa...

Switched to tabs - taste is unbearable

Hi, I recently had to switch to the buprenorphine tabs (vs. film) due to my insurance. And although the taste is reminiscent of the strips, It's SO much worse to me. It almost makes me gag/feel nauseous, so much so that I put off taking my dose during the evening. Also, it takes longer for the tabs ...

Re: life after suboxone

Crystal, Thank you sooo much for writing such a nice post to me. I started posting to this forum with the intention of keeping a documentation for myself during the taper/jump. Then if I ever forgot how far I've come, or started thinking that I'm not tough or strong enough to stay clean, then I cou...

Re: why are you stopping suboxone?

I've written this before, but I'll write it again because the stakes are so high. There is so much misinformation about buprenorphine that people literally die-- sometimes from getting incorrect information. I see people every day who struggle with apathy, loss of sex drive, fatigue, and social iso...

You are absolutely amazing and I am SO thankful you have been posting your detailed experience with your recovery, getting off Suboxone, etc. I won't write a novel (although I could), but please know you are so appreciated and well respected here, as I'm sure you are aware. You g...

Tip to reduce saliva

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share a tip that has recently worked for me. If I use mouthwash before I take my dose, I find it really helps to reduce saliva build up. The flavor of the mouthwash masks the bitter taste of the strip which makes it a lot easier.

Try it if you haven't!:)

Re: New Section in App..

I have the app and use it from time to time. I visit the forum usually in the evening, so I mainly am using a computer when doing so. I think many of us on here perhaps don't know that it exists so reminders like this are great to raise awareness :)

Re: How to improve suboxforum...

Forgive me as it seems I am resurrecting a fairly old thread, but I just wanted to give a quick comment regarding the original topic. It would be great if perhaps Dr. Junig or the Mods could open a quick survey/poll every once in awhile to get members' feedback on how they feel about SuboxForum, as ...

It's back!

Hi guys, Did any of you watch 'Intervention' on A&E in the past? I did, religiously, and I was crushed when they cancelled it a few years ago. I am thrilled that such an important documentary series is back on the air. It's so much more than just a TV show, it genuinely saves and impacts so many liv...

I don't fill at WalMart, but how utterly disgusting and a complete invasion of privacy. I would gladly tell them to go F themselves if I ever got such an inappropriate question. I sincerely hope that they lose business if this is true. Absolutely ridiculous.

Re: Pre-Employment Screening Construction Work

Why would a company test for a buprenorphine in the first place? Why would they care? This is not a medication that can be abused, nor one that can affect your job performance, unless you are combining other substances along with it. I'm confused and kind of sad reading all of this. The perception a...
