Re: How many days early can you fill your RX?

Not entirely true. The ultimate decision on whether or not to fill a script is up to the pharmacist. It's his (or her) license on the line.
Typically they allow for 3 days, however if there's a documentable reason, earlier fills can be approved.

Re: New mom

The active ingredient in Suboxone (buprenorphine) is the same active ingredient in Subutex.
You can stop one and start the other immediately. They are essentially interchangable.
Regarding the child services concerns, I can't help there since I have no kids.

Re: Angry at geeedy Subooxxone Doctors!..

I agree. I keep at least 30 days worth, which in an emergency situation could be stretched to 60 or 90 days worth. My doctor is aware and agrees. You never know what might happen.

Re: any christians trying to stop?

I will be the first to admit I'm not a good Christian. I'm not in church every Sunday. However as a nurse I think I'm a great person and I put others first at every opportunity. I've been in numerous situations where out shopping or at the park, or even one day while fishing I've ran into others nee...

Re: any christians trying to stop?

AJ, you just insulted one of the kindest souls on this forum. Also, and it's been a while, but isn't there something in the bible that states only God can judge? Your comment was very judgemental. Maybe you need a refresher course on being a good Christian? You didn't commit Suboxone blasphemy, but ...

Re: Suboxone and Testosteron injections!!

Well I started abusing opiates in my teens, plus I have a connective tissue disorder (which no can say for sure has anything to do with my low t one way or the other) so I don't think I ever fully developed. My voice has always been high pitched, etc. So since starting on T-supplementation my voice ...

Re: Suboxone and Testosteron injections!!

I'm 32, long term methadone user, 5 or 6 yrs on bupe now. Anyway my testosterone is low, I started on the injections and they helped a lot but now I'm on Androgel and I LOVE it! It turned my whole life around. All my bupe issues (fatigue, depression, low sex drive, inability to build muscle, etc) re...

Re: DEA on transferring Suboxone prescriptions - Aug 12, 201

I've never heard of that law. You can only transfer a controlled substance rx once. Meaning if I'm on vacation and my new rx is at my home pharmacy and I have it transferred to where ever I'm at, I can't have it transferred back. However having it filled and transferring it makes no sense. The only ...

Oh and I'm not condoning alcohol use. Just want to add that disclaimer.
But if someone is going to use alcohol then the harm reduction school of thought dictates that you make sure they don't poison themselves using rubbing alcohol.

Re: Maximizing Zubsolv/suboxone absorption

Rubbing alcohol is pure. Meaning it'll make you extremely sick at best.
When they say to make an alcohol solution they mean to use either Listerine as mentioned above or something like vodka or ever clear.

All Boards are different. The NC Board of Nursing allows nurses to practice on bupe. You'll have check your states board rules.

So I started this a year ago. Here's the long version of what happened: As a RN and pharmacy tech I'm a member of several career related groups on Facebook. One of those is a pharmacy group that's mostly about humor but occasionally someone will come along asking for advice on how to handle a situat...

Re: Sub Doc In Accident - Nobody to Cover In My Case

State laws will vary but here are the federal laws: CI: Herion, no medical use, no prescribing. CII: Oxy, Fentanyl, Morphine, etc. Must have hand signed prescription with no refills delivered to pharmacy although there is talk of allowing CII drugs to be sent electronically. CIII-CV: everything else...

Re: Comfort meds, COWS, PW and a screw up. Need advice pleas

It depends on your doc. If norco was it, then 24 ish hrs should be good. The longer acting opiates like opana, fentanyl, and methadone need extra time to clear your system.
For the short acting opiates like Norco I think the official recommendation is 24-36hrs just to be safe.

Re: Can you transfer subutex from one pharmacy to another?

Gorilla, actually you're wrong. Depending on the state, regulations regarding controlled substance prescriptions vary.
Some states allow one transfer, some don't allow any at all.
You can check this by searching your state + board of pharmacy regulations.

I think when Amy was nominated to be a moderator, it was one of the best ideas ever. You haven't ever said a single thing that I could object to. I said earlier than I can understand demonizing bupe to a point, but beyond that point it is stupid and spiteful. I don't post as much as I should and I a...

Amy,

I'm scared to say but he has his mind set and nothing we can say or do will change it. He has all the warning signs of relapse, he might already be using.
