Re: When do I take my next dose??

I wanted to add that the most important thing right now is that you are on a dose that doesn't allow withdrawal or cravings. Suboxone has a long half life.

Re: When do I take my next dose??

Good Morning Jenny B! I was on here saw your post. I wanted to congratulate you. I'm sure other more experienced people will respond soon. It sounds to my inexperienced mind that you are doing well. Had you tapered down your pain meds before beginning the suboxone? They say you should be in withdraw...

Re: Adding More Suboxone for Pain Management

Hi there! My husband has been told that Suboxone could help him with his pain. I have heard that lower doses are better to help with pain. I was trying to find others who are taking low doses for pain.

Re: Need help to restart Suboxone

Hello there! Welcome. from what I have seen you have to be in withdrawal before taking the suboxone. I'm sure someone will be along soon. There is a chart called the COWS and it is very helpful. I will try to find it.

Breathing problems

Hello, my husband was put on Suboxone on the 9/4 He began having breathing problems right away. Trying to give it a chance he began using his inhaler much more often as well as his nebulizer. His doctor had said he would be much better on Suboxone than methadone, that his breathing would be better. ...

Re: Going to my first appointment Friday, September 21st!!

Hey there! Welcome! I am guessing, since you have been on Suboxone you won't have the fear of the induction? I don't have much experience with it however just wanted to welcome you! Aah, just read it again, I see, well, my husband went in, had to be in withdrawal, there is a COWs worksheet we used t...

Re: Change coming to Walmart

My husband also uses an independent pharmacy for his methadone, now suboxone. They are very nice, only fill prescriptions and must be pretty busy as there are always 7 employees behind the counter. My husband wanted to have his suboxonne prescription sent to Walmart, I have heard of problems with th...

Re: Percocet

Lilly, thank you for sharing. Your story helped me quite a bit. My husband was tapered off of his methadone which he took for pain. He was miserable for the last 12 months of his taper. I kept thinking he would get used to the lower dose but he never did.

Re: I'm a pharmacist wanting to understand this issue

My husband was first given Zubsolve, they have a coupon for 15 free mint flavored pills. When he was given a prescription, our insurance wouldn't cover the Zubsolve. He was given a generic Suboxone. He said the strips work much better than the Zubsolve.

Re: methadone to suboxone induction

Tarantula, I hope you are doing okay. My husband was transitioned a little early. The first dose seemed to make him worse or maybe just more vocal LOL. An hour later he was given a 2nd dose, that helped a lot. The doctor said it could take time to stabilize. The only problem I am seeing so far is th...

Re: Change coming to Walmart

This is interesting. I belong to several pain groups, I see hundreds of comments. Walmart has gotten ridiculous filling pain meds. At one point I read an article written by a physician, he cited their paperwork; next year they aren't filling anything over 50mme and they consider anything over 40mme ...

Re: Please help! I relapsed....

Thank you Lilly, I appreciate your response. While I have been here since May I only know what I have learned on here. Also thank you for the link to the COWS. My husband was recently inducted on to Suboxone and we used the COWS at home to determine if he was ready. When we got to the doctor he was ...

Re: Please help! I relapsed....

Hi I don't know a lot, there are others with much more experience on here that will be along soon to help. From what I was told you need to get the COWS Worksheet and score yourself on this before beginning Suboxone. I would check the half life of what you've been taking as well. To me you would wan...

Re: methadone to suboxone induction

Thank you so much for replying. Also thank you for the link, I will read it now. I have read that the lower one can go the more it helps pain. Also small doses through out the day seem to work better than once a day dosing. I am hopeful.

Re: methadone to suboxone induction

Hi there, yesterday the doctor decided to take him off of the methadone, his last methadone was 8/26. He was on 30mg, the doctor has instructed him to take hydromorphone until Sunday night, 9/3, then stop that. Wednesday morning he should be in withdrawals to be inducted to Suboxone. I am very afrai...
