Re: Sick of the Lies

Treatments using methadone or buprenorphine have more similarities than differences. Most of the former methadone-assisted treatment programs in my area now offer methadone, buprenorphine, or Vivitrol. The courts and law enforcement favor Vivitrol, even though it is my least-favorite option. I work...

Re: Sick of the Lies

Good rant. Feel free to unload any unpleasant experiences you encounter out in the recovery world. If buprenorphine doesn't work for you we get it. Why anyone would question whether or not a person catches a buzz on it is just not thinking straight. Maybe the general public but not at meetings wher...

Re: New to forum

Hey Tommy I had the opposite effect Suboxone didn’t work but methadone did. I’m just wondering if you wouldn’t mind sharing with me why methadone didn’t work for you. I have been on methadone for to long and like you recently a fire has been lit I’m starting to talk with my counselor about trying to...

Sick of the Lies

So I attend a group at the outpatient counseling program I see my mental health counselor at. But this program is both a mental health and chemical dependency program. So I attend groups there instead of the clinic because I get take homes so I only go one day a week and my day they don’t have any g...

Re: New Suboxone clinic in central Pennsylvania

Thank you so much for taking the time to explain that. So how do you find administering Bup. so the patient gets as much out of each dose? During my time on Suboxone I definitely felt some days I would feel my dose more than others. But the main reason I stopped taking it was because I would get ter...

Re: New Suboxone clinic in central Pennsylvania

Hi was wondering what your thoughts are on treating chronic pain with Bup. VS Methadone. I had a really bad time while on Suboxone and very little success in treating my pain. So I ended up switching to methadone and it was like night and day when it came to treating my pain/cravings.

Re: Suboxone/other opiates with T1 Diabetes

So i know you were looking for info on your diabetes sorry I cannot help with that. But after I read your post, I gotta ask, after making it 10 day’s without Suboxone and no issues with relapsing why did you go back on subs? You did something so many of us wish we could do n are terrified to even tr...

Re: question for those on methadone

I know this is a really old post but being new to the forum and looking through a lot of the methadone post I saw you show a lot of hate and spew a lot of lies so that’s why I’m replying to a few year old comment. First and foremost I too would get more of a buzz from Suboxone than methadone. I woul...

Re: Bye bye Suboxone

Amy: Yes ;) Downreg'd: I can't tell how it'll work for me. The new doctor i talked to now was like "why the hell did your previous doctor put you on Suboxone, you don't even have any options, your only option IS Methadone if you're gonna have a chance. And even with Methadone and your history of th...

Re: Bye bye Suboxone

After reading your first post I had a few things I wanted to pass on from my experiences with methadone. Probably a big takeaway for me was the fact that it can never work at any clinic which incorporates so many terrible factors working in concert to cause humiliation and dis-empowerment- such as ...

Re: What made methadone better than buprenorphine for you

Methadone hands down is better than Suboxone for me personally. So my time on suboxone was a nightmare. I experienced terrible side effects, I know opiates cause constipation but Suboxone took that to a whole new level. I didn’t go to bathroom for 2 n a half weeks, by this point I went to the emerge...
