@ Taurus: Obviously I am no professional on this issue as far as sleep apnea and Sub but is it possible you had central apnea before this? If not and this is the first time you are noticing it I would stop Sub and just get clean. If you stop sub now the WD should not be as bad as it would be if you ...

My 3 Year Sub Journey - Pros/Cons/Information

Long but hopefully a good, educational, insightful and helpful read. Before I get into anything I want to say that the information I am about to share is based on MY EXPERIENCES and MY OPINIONS. I have read, heard, discussed many different things when it comes to SUB and while many have very detail...

Get Testosterone level checked

I read in many places that fatigue and hair loss while on suboxone can be linked to the drug due to it reducing your natural T count. I went in and had a blood test done and my T levels were 40% lower than normal. I was prescribed androgel (7.5MG per day) and so far so good. Energy is hit and miss b...

Man I feel lucky

One thing I really want to stress is, DO NOT GO ON YOUR DOCTORS WORD ALONE AND TAKE IT AS GOLD!!! My doctor is a good GP Doc. He got in the suboxone game for the same reason he is in the supplement game (when I go to appointments he is always pushing this or that off on me to help my digestion or ca...

WoW! Some very solid points from everyone that posted. A few that stick out the most are: Birdie: "I see kids being put on it for little perc habits, post surgical folks for getting addicted to the pain meds given post op." How right you are. That was one of my points I was trying to make. Some peop...

First of all not everyone has the side effects you listed. The most common are constipation and sweating. Many do experience a lowered sex drive, but not all do. Many also see an improvement in depression, not an increase in it. Those with no energy are usually on too high a dose. For that matter, ...

Starting Sub? Things to Consider.......

If you are planning on starting or have already started but are not long term yet (Over a Year) I think it's really important that you hear my story before starting or staying on. In my opinion many folks in here swear by the drug and if anyone says anything negative they are bombarded with crappy c...

Wow! What you are describing is bringing back some bad memories. I just wanted to tell you that all this chaos, the WD's, will subside. Especially once you start sub. I know it seems like a horrible black cloud is surrounding you and there is no way out but you will feel "normal" again soon. I'm che...

Re: Anger

Your inclination seems to be drawn to all the topics that do not relate to the core issue here...tapering off subtex. The comment was directed at the harrassment, scrutiny, and ugliness and almost dire desperation to determine my credentials. Everybody on this forum seems to have moved passed this,...

Re: Dangerious jobs with great risk of accidents while on subby

After reviewing many posts I am kinda woried that I work in a job that is high risk for accidents. The fact that if I get hurt wether sever or not there will be nothing that Drs can do for pain while on suboxone. You mean to tell me there is nothing they can do or anything that will kill pain that ...

I am so terribly sorry for what all of you have been through with trying to get pain relief while on Suboxone. This is one of the primary reasons that I wanted my dose as low as I could tolerate as quickly as I could tolerate it, and is one of the biggest reasons I do not want to stay on Suboxone f...

MOTOMONKEY

Came about pills pretty much the same way as you. Got injured (football) then started pouring them down my throat as they prescribed them to me. Doctor shopped, off the street, you name it I did it. Anyway, Sub DOES work. Just make sure you are in moderate withdrawl when you take the first dose. Als...

motomonkey, Your story is similar to mine in that we both had previous drug use, found pain pills and thought...Yee Haw. Then you go to slow down on the pills or quit and all hell breaks loose. I remember thinking WTF have I done? I graduated from weed and the like to cocaine and the like to opiate...

Hey Horselover 36.........Welcome, I'm a newbie myself here but I wanted to point something out that quite a number of people are touching on and that's making sure you go into moderate withdrawl. Don't even chance mild withdrawl. Wait till you feel like crap and the sniffles and shakes and diahrea....

2RollingStoned: Thanks for the info. I got an email from the doc on here today stating that lowering the dose may actually make the apnea worse. I don't wanna argue but since dropping from 8MG to 4MG a day I have gotten better. Either way, thanks for the heads up and good luck.

Re: UNEXPECTED WITHDRAWL (OUCH!!)

Sorry to hear about your issues man but you have to be in moderate withdrawl for the sub to really take hold. Even mild withdrawl will risk it. If you take it before being in withdrawl you can go into what you went into yourself.

I have been on Sub for 2 years. Have gone from 16MG per day down to 4-8 per day currently. Before that was addicted to Norco, vicodin....any opiate I could get my hands on aside from Oxy. So, yes, I do have an opiate issue.
