Re: Still in the tapering process

You're on so low a dose it really shouldn't be that hard. I have not done it but no one else posted back to you. Read some success stories in this section. We've had several stop from about .25 or .125 and have almost no negative withdrawals. It won't hurt to try. You can always take a little bit if...

You found the right place Jimmy. This forum used to be very crowded but now it seems very few want to post their experiences online anymore. Welcome to the site.

Re: Need some help please

That's a tough one. To quit, as you know, requires a good amount of will and determination. Maybe seek out some recovery sites to help find the motivation you need. If and when you do get there I suggest asking for the films vs the tabs. They are just easier to cut down and taper from. It's all gene...

Re: AN 415 pills

Would it be possible for you to ask for the films? At least with those you can put them in different places in the mouth where you might not get sore. I'm sure the pills would do the same except they're kind of bulky. I put my 2mg film up under my top lip and gum. It slows down the melt and I get mo...

Very good post Ami and congratulations! The extra money is nice but we all know it's the recognition that really makes us feel grateful.

Thanks for posting and go right ahead and brag!

Re: An Anesthesiologist's Perspective

I like your user name. So appropriate for this forum. Yes, my doctor (surgeon) and many others don't like reading other doctors opinions. When i tried to get my very talented surgeon to either read the papers or to me breaking it down he abruptly said "I don't want to discuss it". My guess was he ju...

Re: Messed up my induction...what now?

Being an addict who used Suboxone previously you already know the drill with PW. The problem is that Suboxone isn't the best choice for heroin. It's just too strong an opiate. Addiction centers normally prescribe methadone and slowly taper you down to buprenorphine later. The only advice we can give...

Re: Is there a reason I breathe easier after dosing

My guess is that Buprenorphine acts like an opiate which slows down your central nervous system like codeine does. That's why they use codeine and hydrocodone in prescription cough syrup. It's also why they say don't mix alcohol with any other CNS depressant. So it's my guess it relaxes the lungs an...

I've deleted 2 of them so far. We may need to show him/her the door. I think they want something. If I'm wrong Theplug, post it. One job I know for sure you can't use Buprenorphine on is the mining industry. They test for it. The job is so very dangerous you can't have anything in your system that w...

Re: I did it once, it was horrible and now I want to do it again

There are a lot of posts in the Stopping Suboxone section that will help you taper if no one here is doing it right now. I do suggest you ask for the films instead of pills/tabs as they are easier to cut into small pieces. Some use a liquid method but you'd need to look that one up. Benzo's are anot...

Re: Suboxone has started making me Nauseous. Anyone else?

That's a first for me. Never heard of getting nauseous from Buprenorphine before. Not sure if you'll get any helpful replies but maybe someone else experienced it too. Getting down to 1-2 mg's is a great start. That's my dose too. I cut a 2mg film into quarters so it'll last me two days. .50 in the ...

Re: Refill 90 day script well really 90

I too use Express Scripts with the exception of my Suboxone. My doctors office still sees me and he will not under any circumstances do more than a 30 day supply. What he did as a favor was to double my dose so I only go in every 2 months. He still does the drug screen for all his patients. It's jus...

Re: Micro dosing anyone?

Not sure about the half life of buprenorphine at low doses. I would need to research the archives here to see if it was ever talked about. Can't say I agree with the 6 hours part. Reason being, my morning dose of .50 is taken at 7AM. The other half mg is taken between 5 & 6PM and I never feel any wi...

Re: Is there anything for tiredness w/bup?

Long before I started taking Suboxone I had tinnitus. It didn't seem to make it worse or anything else regarding my hearing. Mine is so loud it sounds like I'm standing at Niagara Falls. Over time I've learned to just ignore it and that works. Mine was due to very loud music and concerts in my youth...

Hi LSD, and welcome here. A strange user name I must say. Hope it doesn't have anything to do with the drug. If so, we don't care anyway. That is too bad about the drug testing. You're right, here in the U.S. most companies don't test for buprenorphine. Also, we have something called the HIPPA law a...

Thanks Dhalia for the information. There really isn't much we can do anyway. We are at the mercy of all internet search engines. It just seems odd that with so many people on MAT you'd think we'd be overrun with new members. We'll just keep doing what we do here and hope the people that need support...

Re: Once, twice, or three times per day

It was the lethargy that got me to lower my dose. Kept nodding off at work. Buprenorphine stays in your bloodstream for about 36 hours. That's why the doctors say to dose once per day. With my low dose I take half in the morning and the other half at 4PM. Seems to work for me. Even when I forget to ...
