We are very pleased it all went well for you. Others are not so lucky. I wonder why it was so easy for you. Who cares? Congrats on the new arrival.

Re: Subutex

That is almost impossible to answer as we'd need to be chemists or similar to be able to test the tabs. It does make sense that the buprenorphine may vary throughout the pill. IMO, the films work best for tapering if you can get them. Get the 2mg ones to get down to a very low dose. If you can't get...

It may be an old post but thanks for the input. People do search for this stuff and now there's an answer to the question. Most of us know nothing of valerian root so thanks again and welcome to the forum.

Re: Taper Spreadsheet or Chart

Looking through this section I thought for sure I'd find a taper schedule fairly fast. Nope. All you can do is open up several threads and see if it has plan. They are there, just not in the topic line.

Hope you get what you need to taper. Welcome to the forum.

Re: Dizziness - Please Help

That's a new one bfromaz. Yes, any pain reliever can mask other health symptoms. I had Covid-19 several weeks ago and didn't really want to dose at all. I would go all day w/o any withdrawal symptoms and then take less than .50 mgs. Considering I felt so lousy I toyed with the idea of stopping the S...

Re: Dizziness - Please Help

I was waiting for one of our doctors to respond to your post but it seems the holidays have got most members and staff busy.

IMO, the dizziness has nothing to do with the buprenorphine. It must be the new script you are taking. Yes, talk to your doctor about the side effects. Good call.

Re: Only worked for pain the first three days!

I can't comment as a medical professional. Just my personal opinion. For me, the lower the dose the better it works for pain. Buprenorphine pain patches come in micrograms, not milligrams so that says something. See what works for you.

Thank you for that clarification. So many people thinks it's the answer to addiction w/o doing their research. We've been talking about here for years.

That post should have received several responses but somehow got by with none until you were so kind as to reply. We all understand Suboxone is not for everyone. Your husband being one of them. What I will suggest is for you to look through this section and you'll find numerous stories of how other ...

Re: Straight from the pits of HELL

It is impossible to even try to defend the use of Suboxone for addiction to you. Your mind is made up so we'll just have to let you vent. We rarely ever hear of someone who is addicted to Suboxone as the vast majority don't even feel the effects. Did he start on it or use it to get off of another op...

Re: Short term opiate relapse, now 9 days on Subs

Congrats on getting yourself onto Suboxone. IMO, it's way too early to think about stopping it. Even though you relapsed and had 3 years prior, your brain is still in addict mode. Take your time, it's not a race. But to answer your question if you're determined to stop, yes, quitting at 2 mg's is wa...

Sounds to me like they don't like Suboxone customers. Yea, take your business elsewhere and don't look back.

Re: Restarting sub - prevent p/w - withdrawal after heart surgery

You shouldn't experience any p/w's taking the Suboxone again. What is normally suggested for pain is to take both a higher dose of painkillers along with your normal dose of Suboxone. You won't feel the high but the painkilling effect will still work. I made the same mistake after a very painful sur...

Re: Another Debacle

What an awful story Lilly. It makes me feel guilty sometimes that I've never had any problems getting my Suboxone. Of course, if we move again that may cause issues trying to find another supportive doctor. I was lucky to find 2 in 2 states. Being in the field you know more that most about how to go...

Re: Articles to print and take to the doctor/hospital

My mistake was not reading what Dr. Junig said before my very painful tongue surgery. Had a tumor on the base of my tongue that had to come out. Ouch! I stopped taking my 1mg of Suboxone and asked for stronger pain meds to help. My surgeon would not give me anything stronger than 10mg Hydrocodone wh...

Re: On Sub for 9 yrs, 12mg films Cat gets bupenorphine for pain control but so expensive

I'm glad you found some relief for your pain. Expecting an answer from our doctor about how to administer buprenorphine to a cat will probably not be answered. And if it is, it may not have the information you need and want. Or I could be wrong. Who knows? Yes, animals can also take buprenorphine fo...

Yea, this post is kind of old and a few don't work anymore. This forum went through a few changes and we lost some information. In the TalkZone section, put Pain in the search box and then click on the categories for the articles. That's the best I can do for now. Later on I'll edit the post and try...
