Hey all~Diary~I just wanted to let you know that I have a few hours available everyday, twice a day, while Tyler is napping. Let me know WHATEVER you need me to do to help. If you want to post a list of the frequently asked questions, and I can just start tackling those one at a time (the ones I ha...

What kinda decisions?? hmm ... When the time comes that this place needs more moderators... can we nominate other members ... and have a say in who gets chosen? Mods should have the final say, but it'd be good to have us all involved in it a bit. I will start a thread in the mod forum to talk about...

Hi johnnyappleseed and tinydancer - Welcome to the forum! You both rock for working and pushing through your withdrawal like that. I also found that I dealt with my withdrawals better when I kept busy and distracted. The worst thing I could do was sit around and obsess about how I was feeling, it ju...

Great post Romeo! Way to get this back on track. I would love to help with a FAQ section but I cant right now. I will be starting a new full time job soon and still have to finish my outpatient treatment. I also posted that it would be cool to have a "like button" or some way to acknowledge that yo...

Well, I would like to nominate Romeo to be the forum secretary. Seriously though, thanks for rounding up all the suggestions and putting them in one post. I am going to go through them and give a status update. #1---I think it'd be cool if the wider forum / non-moderator members were allowed t...

For the record, Bboy has already apologized above and retracted his suggestion that newbies should be required to have a certain number of posts before they can start new threads. He said he realized it wasn't the best idea. Some good suggestions for forum improvements have been made in this thread....

Hi tinydancer, welcome to the forum and congrats on 2.5 months off Sub, that's teriffic. I hear you about hindsight, and realizing that you could have/would have done things differently, but I guess all we can do is make the best choices we can with the information we have available at the time. It ...

I know I just wrote you a freaking book up there, but I also wanted to comment on this: I was able to work and be functional, I think people would be seriously surprised if I told them I was an addict. I think that the only thing I was weird about was at night, I'd prefer to get high with a friend o...

Man, I'm so sorry that your doctor sucks. That's a real problem with Suboxone - it's so hard to know if you're going to get a good doctor or not, or even if you'd have access to a good doctor. The 8 hour training course for becoming a Sub doctor is really inadequate and many prescribers are not fami...

Sure, lots of people use Suboxone as a short-term detox medication. I think that whether you decide to do a short-term detox, a month long taper, or use Sub as a maintainence medication is something you should talk about with your doctor or with an addiction counselor. I wouldn't make a snap decisio...

Hey AshCal3, welcome to the forum. You don't have to be in unbearable withdrawals before you induce on Suboxone, you just have to be in moderate withdrawals. I did my induction and then went to work that same day and I was totally fine, I took 4mgs and then 4mgs an hour later at my induction appoint...

I do remember feeling crappy in the morning until I took my Sub dose, and for most of the time I was on Sub I dosed in the am & pm because it handled my pain better that way. I can't remember if that effect correlated with what dose I was taking though. Maybe you are under whatever your "ceiling" do...

Hey Jackie, lots of people lurk, or read more than they post, and that is totally fine. Personally, I'm glad that people are reading and if they ever get up the nerve to post, that's great too. People are just brainstorming ideas in here, so I wouldn't take what was said about newbies personally. I ...

If you're not getting pain relief from the percoset by itself, you can try taking it along with a small dose of Sub, like 1 or 2 mgs. That will be enough Sub to compensate for your higher opiate tolerance but not so much that it blocks the percoset from working. This is what I ended up doing when I ...

Who knows, it might be sooner. I'm just saying that 10mg percosets aren't that strong, and you were on a high dose of Sub for the past month...so it might be a while before you can take one 10mg percoset and actually feel it. I think the 72 hours thing is possibly true if you're taking a stronger or...

It's hard to say because everyone is different. Right now your tolerance is still really high but it will come down eventually. If I had to make a guess I would say it will take at least 60 days for your tolerance to come down enough for you to fully feel 10mgs of oxycodone. You might be able to tak...
