Re: Coming off suboxone without withdrawl
Actually, my math was funky.. my husband jumped off on less. But I did the jump at 1.5ish mgs and survived. If I were you, I'd put the oxy away and get some nuerontin, clonidine and a benzo for 2 weeks.

Re: Coming off suboxone without withdrawl
I feel like I'm in the twilight zone, reading this thread. Bwahaha. Ok, now I will try for some helpful info. You are not feeling w/ds because a) it possibly hasn't been long enough off suboxone b) by the looks of it, you are also taking oxycodone c) you might not feel much in the way of WDs.. Why d...

Sounds to me like you could just be on too high of a dose. But I understand wanting to try to get off after 7 years. Been there, done that.

Re: Delivered by C Section 12/31
Hi Narcissa! Congrats on your healthy baby girl! And a NYE baby, how special. The C-SECTION. It's brutal. BRUTAL! I was off all opiates when I had my C-sec, so when they medicated me.. I had maximum pain relief. No pain was felt, other than the odd tugging/ pressure. I was very out of it though, bec...

Re: Switching from H to Subs
Hi and welcome! Sorry to hear you had a bad go around this last attempt. I think you should try again. If you can get from methadone to suboxone (and call it easy), you got this! I agree with Amy. Start on less next time. I've gone from H to sub a few times but my last successful induction on suboxo...

Re: I'm the biggest asshole
This happened to me once, except I didn't run out early, I just needed to refill early because I was leaving town for vacation. The pharmacist wouldn't fill my script until I showed her a print out of my flight itinerary. So.. if you're really in a jam, buy a cheap airplane or train ticket to show y...

Re: 15 days off suboxone after 5 years on
OP- I could have written your post. I know what you mean in everything that you write/ say. The rollercoaster of emotion after 8 years on methadone & sub (not to mention the years of using before that) was overwhelming, loved, feared, welcomed, comforting, and scary as shit.. all at the same time. I...

Re: Fentanyl to Sub starting Monday - Need advice and help!
I'm shocked you didn't go into PWs.. Fent is so long lasting. My friend has Chronic Pancreatitis and is on the patches and wants off. This is good news.
Suboxone can have a speedy like feel if you take too much or if you're not used to it. That is probably what you're experiencing. It will go away.

Re: Sweating & weight
In regards to weight, I had the exact opposite problem. I couldn't keep weight on to save my life. I was so thin. I miss that part of suboxone.
I think it just affects everyone differently.

Re: What does Gabapentin show up as on Drug Screen?
Good question. I'd actually be inclined to think it doesn't show up on standard tests, but I'm really not all that sure. When I was on suboxone, my doc tested me every month regardless of how I was doing, it was just his standard protocol. I tested "dirty" twice in the 6 years I was his patient and ...

No advice! Just wanted to wish you luck and an easy taper. Perhaps the doc will have some suggestions for you?
(My doc wrote me a script for it when I was getting off sub also, but I never took it.)

Re: Menstrual cycle change
I guess for some people maybe that's the case. I just know that for me, and girls I knew, it was in direct relation to how much body fat we had. If it is a body fat thing, it would be ongoing and continue, not just a one time late period. Anyway, sorry for hijacking your thread OP!

Ugh, I love squirrels too! I used to go to the roasted peanut shoppe and feed them in the park. At this particular park, they'd come up and grab the peanuts from your hand. So cute.

Re: Menstrual cycle change
TJ, the not getting your period on heroin is because typically you don't eat much and/ or lose a lot weight rapidly. The heroin part is not cause. It's the same for some ballerinas and gymnasts. Lack of body fat and nutrition.

Re: Should I or Shouldnt I...
What you experienced is that the suboxone you took is stronger than your DOC. It's tricky when this happens. I'd stick with 2mg (if it doesn't make you sick) and let your body adjust to it. You will very quickly get to a place where the dose doesn't get you buzzed or "jacked." It's unfortunately whe...

What did you relapse on?
I'm old school, but whenever I had gone into PWs in the past, I just continued taking sub. Buprenorphine will eventually take over and replace whatever it was that you were on.

Re: Menstrual cycle change
Definitely do not rule out pregnancy. I know someone who just found out she is pregnant even tho her husband had been snipped for years. After she found out she was pregnant, he was adamant about getting his sperm testing (I think he was worried his wife- my friend- may have been messing around) and...
