Happy Birthday, Mick!

(He turned 71 today. The fact him and Keith Richards are still alive might be proof of miracles, lol)

Re: Cutting back on Cig's

It's all good, dudes. Boop, your post really hit me between the eyes. I'm making progress, but I do need to step it up. I went out and got the American Spirit cig's Monday. They taste amazingly normal. They burn pretty slow, too. As of now, I'm about half my cig's in AS and the other half, Marlboro...

Yeah, you better be careful Madame Butterfly, or Romeo will tie weights to your tiny l'il butteflying legs, like he suggested for Trainer's birds. Think I'm kidding? See: doing-t10439-580.html#p89213

K Bud, I'm going to look for American Spirit tomorrow. There's a tobacco shop in town and I can ask them about it, too. Thanks for all the research you've done on behalf of me and all the others who happen on this thread. NP Romeo, you're more than welcome. Its actually a really poignant subject ma...

After a year or so I've figured out the simplistic way to get max absorption of sub 8mg films You put it under your actual tongue itself bend your tongue up so it sticks about in the middle now don't let your tounge drop in the saliva that pooling After about 15 minutes It dissolves leaving Saliva ...

Re: Plugging

Exactly how far up does it need to go? It wouldn't think it has to go far, just so long as you can hold it until its absorbed through the colon's mucous membrane. If you're going to do it no matter what anybody here might say to discourage it, I would probably liquefy and use the end of an oral syr...

Ah, there is also this (regarding American Spirit paper chemicals) that turned up on a googly-based research mission: Here's what the makers of American Spirit say concerning their FSC compliance... Re: Quitting Cig's

I gotta tell ya Romeo, I know exactly how you're feeling right now. I've got some pretty serious BULLSHIT going on right now with my boys and ex and was surprised as hell that even after nine months of pretty solid recovery work, my first damn thought was " man it'd be awesome to catch a buzz and n...

Re: Replacement therapy for cigarette smokers?

As far as the vape, E-cigs are concerned, I read a study/review, that went so far as to check the blood plasma levels of nicotine in vape users, and for most brands, it was way way below the advertised nicotine equivalency of regular cigs. SO be careful and do some brand research, if going that route.

Re: Replacement therapy for cigarette smokers?

Nicotine nasal spray worked the best for me, insofar as replacement therapy. It is prescription only. Hits the brain fast, almost like a drag on a cig, to kill a craving, while helping one to break the smoking habit and smoking related rituals. First few days are rough, while mucous membranes in nos...

All of the above is intended for anybody who reads this thread. Sorry, don't mean to hijack your thread Romeo. What you are doing is great. But perhaps making your own (assuming you don't) might help you cut down more, since it's not as easy as just buying a pack of premades and pulling one out. AND...

Re: Quitting Cig's

That's a lot of carrying on^, but I like some science to back up my contentions. Quitting smoking is difficult, so while trying to do so (or if not), in the interest of harm reduction, I think its safe to say that using additive-free tobacco and carbon filter cigarette tubes, will reduce risks assoc...

Chiming in late hear and have yet to read entire thread, so forgive me if I cover any ground of which someone else has already contributed. It's best to quit, but I post this information for harm reduction purposes. Also, switching to additive-free tobacco and carbon filters might help with cutting ...

Re: Should we add an "Argument Room" to the forum???

If it's done, the rules to having a proper debate, or "argument" (the term "argument" is more ambiguous, but also applies to a debate), should be a sticky. The biggest no no, as many may already know, is verbally attacking the person one is debating with, as opposed to countering their argument. Thi...

Question.. I'm in a similar place to OP. I have no job, my family helps pay for my worthless HealthNet monthly insurance til I can find one, and started Suboxone last week. My doctor accepts medicaid for other stuff, he's a family medicine doc, but his suboxone program is cash pay ($300 first two v...
