I'm not comparing being on Sub to being in addiction, to abusing pills or heroin. I'm comparing Sub to being off all opioids, off all drugs. And it's a hard point to make when most of those who've kicked sub and experienced the difference vanish off the forum. Of course being on Sub is miles ahead o...

I feel like I'd better put the post in context because reading it today I notice I got a bit carried away. Lastnight I'd had a big night out hopping from bar to club to bar, and it was really cold outside. I did that post just before passing out in my bed. It's a really fucking cold winter at the mo...

Does being on sub make you feel old?

Straight forward question. Do you feel that being on sub takes some vitality from your life compared to if you were living now off opiates altogether? Seriously having experienced life clean off opioids and life on subs, I feel like I'm not living. It's like I'm a shadow of my former self. Something...

I dunno. If a dude who owns a 7-11 can choose whether or not he wants to sell Twinkies, why can't a pharmacist choose whether or not they wanna sell a certain medication? They own the store, it's on private land. Just like a doctor can choose what kinda services they offer, can't a pharmacist do the...

Another thing about all this stuff is that it's not an exact science in that there's variability from person to person. Things like race, general rate of metabolism, body type, sex etc all play a role, as well as plain old genetic variations. In medication like buprenorphine which is broken down by ...

Is there an answer to that deal?... peace...jack 8) Two options in dealing with it. Reducing dose of Sub has a significant effect for most people. You often hear of people taper...

It would significantly diminish their effects. A greater risk for her would be if she stopped taking her Suboxone for 2+ days but kept taking her other pills. That would be a recipe for overdose, because there'd be no Sub there to attenuate the effects of all her agonist pain pills. By taking Sub wi...

Ibogaine could be dangerous because it's a tryptamine ... at least for me those drugs are notorious for causing psychosis.

Yes and no. Taking agonists on top of Sub DOES increase analgesic affect over taking Suboxone on its own. However if a person on heaps of agonists then takes Suboxone, they're in for pain. In a nutshell, Suboxone (as a baseline) PLUS agonists = increased analgesia. Agonists (as a baseline) then taki...

Yeah Sub definitely aint good for the testosterone. What I found weird is that for myself and others I've known who have been on both methadone and Sub, Sub was worse for libido. Even some people on here who've switched from Sub to methadone have said they felt their libido return a bit. But studies...

Subutex is making you vomit while Suboxone was fine? I was thinking just before I read this post about how Suboxone tastes better than Subutex, prolly because they mask the shit taste of bupe with orange tang with Suboxone. That being said, it's possible the issue you're having has become somehow in...

Posting personal shit isn't so much an issue for me, living half way around the world with nobody knowing who I really am. But some guys in here, esp in the States, aren't as anonymous and personally know others so might be more apprehensive about posting personal stuff.

What tha fuck? That site is FUCKED. Isn't blackmail a crime in America? They're basically saying - if you don't pay us money, people who visit this site will know you've been arrested and know who you are. How is that different to a male prostitute blackmailing a married celebrity for cash? All that...

haha! I guess the thing you wouldn't want post-detox is for the sensitivity to create some kinda lingering performance anxiety and pressure. Something like that could make the problem stick around even after your body returns to normal. What's anbesol? Ahh it's like novocaine? Reminds me of an old G...

Maybe it's different where I'm from. I have some doctors in my family and have told many GP's, and doctors when I'm in hospital about my history and being on Sub and the response has been pretty accepting. The couple of times they weren't accepting was with one particular psychiatrist, and an addict...

Heaps of drugs are neurotoxic. The docs prescribe interferons for MS and Hep C knowing that it does damage. It's just the benefits of being cured make it worth it. Same goes for anti-psychotics. For decades they known they're neurotoxic and they cause tardive dyskenesia, but having patients stay in ...

Rehab relationships are worse than celebrity marriages. They're a recipe for disaster. I had a brief episode in rehab. It was flagrantly against the rules. I remember a couple of people had gotten kicked out for the same thing the evening our fling started. In morning group the more conservative alc...
