Thanks Jonathanm. The only thing she doesn't know about at this point is the Suboxone. I'm really unsure how she'll take it, because in the eyes of most people being on Sub is closer to using than not being on Sub. Really unsure what to do about that at this point, but I think it's time to take thin...

Tear'. i no this may sound silly but' how much damage can any control'd drug do to your brain in just one day  A fair bit johnboy ... There's heaps of naturally occurring neurotoxins around that can do heaps of damage with one use. Check out this doco about MPTP, a by product of illicit fentan...

Buprenorphine is a mild inhibitor of the enzyme that breaks down Adderall (CYP2D6). It may be worth being aware of this. While you are on Sub, you might not need to take as much Adderall.

I've kinda been a bit flippant in this thread, embellishing the truth a bit to make things more fun to read. The reality is a few weeks back I opened myself up to seeing people again, so these issues of disclosure surfaced. I think ur right qhorsegal in that it's not that important for them to know ...

Somebody must have said something to the suboxone doctor, cuz now HES starting "our own" meetings down at the clinic, and there will be an actual addiction counselor/therapist, and he wants to do some sort of program where ppl that have been on sub awhile can 'help' new people with induction and al...

It takes time to change ingrained behaviors. People expect things to change in weeks, or months. I'm more inclined to think it takes years. But it's also important to accept and be comfortable with who you are. If you're not the kinda person that likes parties or socialising, then what's wrong with ...

Yeah the lack of libido on Sub is often talked about on this board. I've noticed Sub definitely erodes my desire. But that's probably a good thing cos I was definitely over-obsessed with women when I was abstinent. A few things have helped minimise this while on Sub. I believe that splitting my dose...

His doctor sounds like a dick. The only way it could possibly make sense is if your doctor thinks your son is better suited to methadone, and wants to induce him on it with intent to keep him on it long term. It's a lot harder to switch from methadone to Sub than to just go on Sub. It's a long actin...

POST DETOX PREMATURE EJACULATION

This is a serious topic ya'll. I don't understand why on a board where we get frivolous topics like "My baby's in NICU withdrawing off methadone help me" and "Sub has damaged my brain" why such an important topic as premature ejaculation isn't discussed. Now I don't know what it is about opioid with...

Okay I think I've felt my way around this situation somewhat.

I think the solution is to have more than one girlfriend... That way if when the time comes and the truth is discovered and she cracks the shits and runs away ... then you still have options.

It's an interesting drug... But from what I've heard the majority of people who use Ibogaine to get clean end up relapsing. But more people succeed via Ibogaine than via cold turkey. Still, I question whether it's worth the risk to one's life, to one's sanity. What if Ibogaine induces a psychosis? I...

Addiction all lives on the same circuit. I've been able to kick opioids by switching to cocaine, or speed. When I got off all opioids I got really obsessed with sex at an unhealthy level. When I'm on Sub, all my negative desires and urges are diminished a lot. It's like Sub gives the addictive circu...

It's impossible for anyone to gauge whether the guy's for real really. That'd be like me coming on this forum asking if the dealer down my street is doing rips. I think so Johnboy docs gotta have some kinda intelligence to get to where they are.

But it'd only be relevant if you find your moods relate directly to your daily dosing. Sometimes us bipolar people are just moody anyway!

Re: Starting my son on SUBOXONE. Feeling guilty

If a person can stay clean for months and then just decides to use do you feel that they are a good canidate for suboxone. I always thought subs were for those who could not get clean /withdrwrals on thier own. Any info thanks so much Short answer, no. Getting clean is a lot easier than staying cle...

Hey Love... The ups and downs you are feeling seem to directly correlate to the levels of buprenorphine in your blood throughout the day. What's happening is that shortly after you dose, your peak levels of buprenorphine are matching your tolerance, and providing you with a high enough level of bupe...

I just should add that the issues I talked about are more pronounced in people who have faster metabolisms. ie the faster the metabolism, the more difference there is between their peak and trough dose, because those w/ faster metabolism have their bupe levels drop more over 24 hours. Sertraline is ...

I've found that for me, SSRI's can speed up my metabolism of Suboxone. However many other people don't have this problem with SSRI's. I'm unsure if Zoloft in particular is known to speed up metabolism of Sub.

If you can, try and take your Sub at the same time each day.
