I'm really sorry Hat, I just saw this thread. The unfortunate truth we all know is there really is nothing you can do except what you did. You let her know how you feel and that when and if she comes around you will be there. Addiction is so many different things to us all and we think being addicts...

Hi and welcome! I am tested every 3 months at the lab and am always negative for opiates. Sub does not show up on a standard opiate test. A simple call to the lab should be able to clarify this for your Dr. Instead of telling him your suspicions were confirmed on an internet forum, I would ask him t...

Well I'm here! As I said we hired my aunt's ex-husband to drive my van out. We told him we'd pay all expenses, a plane ticket back and $100 a day. He got in Thursday for a total of 3 days of driving but is staying until Monday to see his son who also happens to live here. When my husband gave him $3...

Good job! You stayed strong and made it! I am a glass half full type of person. No matter how bad things are they can always get worse. Suffering sucks, but you made it thru and your recovery is stronger because of this. I am glad you are choosing to take this negative experience and turn it into a ...

I am still in AZ, we fly out early tomorrow morning. I haven't been to NC yet. My husband has been out there since Nov 7th and he found the house. I've seen pictures and it is a beautiful home, and so is North Carolina. I have been talking to a lot of locals on the phone, getting everything schedule...

I have to agree with your last post Diary, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG! I am gonna give you the very short version of my extremely shitty day. So we wound up hiring my uncle to drive my van to NC and we are flying out super early Friday morning. My husband...

I'm sorry you are not getting a response from your Dr. He should be reachable by you through out your induction period. I didn't mean it to sound like you shouldn't come here for help. I just wanted other readers to know I wasn't trying to act like I'm qualified to give medical advice and that seein...

Just wanted to add this info to the thread: tiredofthegame has been asking questions about induction for the last month or two but in a different thread. We have advised him to see a Dr, and thought he had (that's why I asked). Tired, I thought you had a sub Dr now? Maybe I am not remembering correc...

I am not sure, some people have said they get that feeling at times and think it may be the naloxone. Spitting your saliva out after the sub is dissolved can help. I suppose it is possible you still have some fentanyl on your receptors but I wouldn't think so given it's been a week and you weren't w...

I am not certain about your ua but I think you will be fine. Someone who's doc was heroin can probably answer it more accurately for you. With it's short half life I think you'd be clean. If it were me in your shoes I would first explain what you did here to your Dr. I would tell him that you are in...

Most Drs recommend staying on sub thru pregnancy. Evidence shows that the risk of NAS isn't affected too much by dose. Some mom's were on less than a mg and their baby showed signs of NAS, others were at 16mg or 24mg and their babies were fine. It is almost impossible to predict what the outcome wil...

You are taking a very low dose, especially for induction. Even people using sub just for a quick detox usually take around 8mg for at least the first few days. If it were me I would take more sub and I think you will feel just fine. I started at 12mg but have been at 16mg for quite some time now. Wi...

From what I know of activated charcoal I agree with the above poster. My cousin's son got into some tylenol and at the ER they said the charcoal would only help with what was still in the stomach. However I read another post here where someone said different. I am just basing my opinion on what the ...

Agreed Mel, another example of our countries philosophy to punish everyone for the mistakes of the few. I know there is an opiate epidemic and something needs to be done but why can't governments use common sense and decide things on a case by case basis. It reminds me of the states with strict gun ...

I hate that insurance companies try to play Dr. If you Dr is prescribing you sub (or any med) then it should be covered. Clearly your Dr feels you still need the med and that should be good enough. I used to be prescribed the film and would get 60 8mg strips a month. I pay cash and it would cost me ...
