Why are private messages not on my sent box but on outbox

Everytime I send a private-message it just stays on outbox and not on sent-box and for that reasons people are recieving messages from me..I tried to go to settlings-profile but cannot rectify this..Anybody have any suggestions? or do messages still get sent to the receiptments even if they do not show up on sent-box? well if they had I would have gotten replies so I do not believe they are being delivered to the receiptments.

Hi, a message goes to your outbox when sent and stays there until the person opens and reads the pm. Once the person you sent it to opens it then it will move to your sent box. If you are unsure if your pm's are going thru you can send me a test pm.
