Dosing on top of Tongue

What dose of Suboxone do you take? Does your buprenorphine wear off? Do you have opioid withdrawal symptoms?

Dosing on top of Tongue

Does anyone else just put the suboxone strip on-top of their tongue instead of under-neath it?
I've been doing it this way for about 16 months now. I do get a bit of withdraw yawns and a runny noise a few hours before I am due to take another but other-wise it really works well for me.

The mouth does absorb buprenorphine everywhere, it’s just to what extent. Suboxone strips are specially formulated to enter the capillaries of the tissue under the tongue. You are most likely absorbing less of the drug than you would otherwise. For instance if you’re dissolving 8 mg strips on top of your tongue, you could quite likely get an equal effect using 4 mg or 6 mg under the tongue.

That said, whatever works for you, and it keeps you alive and clean, more power to you!
