Has anyone noticed that after taking suboxone that it is hard to work in the heat? Ever sense I started taking it I get very dizzy and sweat awful if I work out in the day time heat. Just changing the oil in the lawnmower I had to come inside and sit down for a while afterwards. Is this something that is normal???

You know, I'm really not sure about that. I'm a wuss when it comes to the heat anyway, so I may not be the best person to ask.

Anyone else experience this?

I live on a farm so have always worked in heat. I have just noticed when I started subs that every time I am doing something out in the bad heat I sweat like hell and get really dizzy. Maybe it’s just me.

Suboxone makes me sweat more but over the years it has gotten a lot better. I live in the south and the humidity is killer hot. If someone were to be working out on the farm in my area this time of year, they’d be in danger of a heat stroke at a specific time of day. I do think suboxone could contribute to more sweating (just from my personal experience) but the dizziness hasn’t ever happened and I’m thinking that could be just from the heat itself. Who really knows but this time of year is hard regardless imo.

We would get a cut of our neighbor's hay for our horses each year if we helped out with the haying. Holy cats, that was hot! Grammy (my neighbor's grammy) would make us ginger tea to drink after we came in from the field. Cold water would have just made us throw up because we were so hot, but the ginger in the cold water (ginger tea) made it easier to keep it down. The only other place I have heard of ginger tea was in a Laura Ingalls Wilder book. Grammy herself was born at the end of the 19th century, so she knew a lot of the old methods too.

Big difference from 20mg of Methadone to 8mg/2mg of Suboxone. Very uncomfortable. I reckon most of these side effects from this medication is from the Naloxone. We shall soon see as Im refuse to take another Suboxone and will ask my doctor to try just the Bupe alone when I see him next week. For now its back to the Methadone. No hot flashes and no swollen legs and abdomen.
