Taking Suboxone while looking into the mirror

Has anyone ever tried this method?
I mean it quite literally, as in you’ll have to physically place a portion of the strip directly onto one of the veins underneath your tongue.
And then, you watch as it dissolves.
It should progressively seep into the vein

This has proved useful to me, as of late.
Seems a lot more effective than just throwing them in their blind, closing your mouth and hoping for maximum absorption!

Please, anyone who posts to respond, tell us your way for effectively absorbing your Suboxone strips.
Thank you!

I'll use a mirror sometimes just to make sure the film goes in the right place. With me, placing it under the tongue didn't work very well. Too much saliva. A member of this forum said they place it between their cheek and gum so I tried that and it dissolves a lot slower. Mine goes up under my upper lip.

Considering I take such a small amount (1mg cut in half) that method works better for me. Less saliva so I'm not constantly swallowing.

Thank you for the reply, Rule61!
I’m surprised more people haven’t posted their experiences on the matter.

Lately I’ve been taking my dose in front of the mirror. Every single time. I find that it not only helps with proper placement, but also helps to ensure it stays in place the entire time while it dissolves.

In fact, if I’m able to remain there with my mouth open and tongue raised, it will slowly apply itself to the underside veins. After that, it’s just a matter of time until it disappears or completely absorbs.

Still though, I seem to be having the most trouble with maximizing absorption. I can’t seem to find a way to effectively make it last. When first ingesting I’ll have high hopes, which seem to slowly dissipate over time

Recent update: I’ve found a way to effectively take it while looking into the mirror.

Here’s the method- Start with a 1mg or 2mg piece cut from a 8mg strip. Underneath your tongue, you’ll see there are two larger veins that stick out, and are more prominent than the others. Anyways, you want to focus on those for placement. Either on the right or left side.

Hold your tongue all the way up during the process, with your mouth open. While facing into the mirror, you can see and monitor the absorption and dissolved gooey formation.

Here’s one important thing to remember: After a while, your mouth will start to pool with saliva. At this point, tilt your head forward, ensuring the spit simply just starts to pour directly out of your mouth.

Doing it this way, I’ve been able to keep the same piece in place for hours at a time. Also, it seems like as soon as I close my mouth, and can no longer see the strips resting on the underside of my tongue, the dose almost nearly disappears completely. This shows me that closing your mouth is the wrong way to do it. What you need is a mirror and a strong tongue that’s used to being propped all the way up. In fact, my ultimate goal would be to trap a piece underneath. After having it absorb like a sponge, it would then attach itself to the large vein underneath.

Too bad there wasn’t a specified/dedicated storage area for Suboxone Film. That way, we could “trap” the film underneath our skin or actually inside of the big tongue veins. That way, we could insert a piece that would last for days and days without the need to change it out, every so often!
