Trying to get Suboxone film to work / be administered in the same way as buprenorphine patches

I remember having this conversation with my Suboxone doctor.

We were discussing how there are buprenorphine patches, that (almost like timed release), gradually release/administer small doses throughout the day.

In regards to maximizing bioavailability of Suboxone film, do you agree that the film is meant to be doing the same thing?
By that, I mean remaining intact instead of dissolving right away.

Sometimes, I can apply small pieces of film under my tongue. Since I’m doing this in front of a mirror with an open mouth, I can visibly see it for hours at a time.
