Went to urgent care due to kidney stone got torodal and really helped. Next day went back to ask

For some more since really got relief. Got back in room and said I would really like more torodal. Dr comes in says why didn't you tell us you were on suboxone I say what does it matter I have never asked or needed any narcotics in the year I have been coming here. She asked what do you want today? I say I would really like a torodal shot it really helped yesterday. She says NO, I ask why? She says you are already on a pain medication. I say what would it hurt it isn't a narcotic. She then says YOU ARE ALREADY ON A PAIN MEDICATION YOU SHOULDN'T FEEL ANY PAIN.

YOU READ THAT RIGHT I CAN GET HIT BY A CAR AND NOT KNOW. I CAN STAB MYSELF OR OPERATE On myself and not feel a thing...OR BETTER YET I CAN FLY OFF A BUILDING AND JUST JUMP BACK UP AND GO ABOUT MY DAY. I AM FUCKING INVINCIBLE. I CAN PUNCH THRU WALLS LIKE SUPERMAN. I AM "SUPERMAN"..........I AM A GREEK GOD.
Huh if that's the case SHOULDN'T everyone want to be on SUBOXONE who wouldnt want to be INVINCIBLE. Why would the dr not want to take it to be pain free sounds wonderful.

Lots of views, but like Rule at a loss for words. I have heard similar tales from patients as well. But, recently, people are reporting getting good care, surgical teams have been willing to call me. I am hopeful that things are changing.
I my last 6 OB patients had good deliveries, got good care and babies were supported without needing weaned with morphine or methadone. Had spoken with the delivery team in advance which helps.
Recently, I read a paper that on average it takes 12-15 years from discovery to general use by most providers.
Covid 19 is an aberration that general adoption of new treatments and principles within weeks to months discovery rather than years.
