Is there a reason I breathe easier after dosing

Questions I've received about buprenorphine, Suboxone, Zubsolv, and addiction treatments... and my answers.

I’ve noticed for quite a while about an hour after dosing I can breathe easier.

I understand it could be many different factors, stress, anxiety etc... but thought I’d ask if anyone else has had similar experience?

My guess is that Buprenorphine acts like an opiate which slows down your central nervous system like codeine does. That's why they use codeine and hydrocodone in prescription cough syrup. It's also why they say don't mix alcohol with any other CNS depressant. So it's my guess it relaxes the lungs and makes it easier to breath.

Just my 2¢ worth as a non professional.
